RF Switches
RF switches are electronic components used in radio frequency (RF) and microwave systems to control the routing of high-frequency signals between different paths. They act as electronically controlled gates that can connect or disconnect signal lines, allowing designers to switch antennas, signal sources, or receivers in a flexible and efficient manner. RF switches are available in a variety of technologies, including PIN diodes, FETs, MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems), and solid-state integrated circuits, each optimized for speed, power handling, and insertion loss.
